Department of Civil Engineering

One of the primary departments of the Technological University (Maubin), the Department of Civil Engineering got a 9001: 2015 Certificate on January 15, 2019, and then it further obtained Re-Certificate on January 14, 2022.
Moreover, the department has been accredited provisionally by Myanmar Engineering Council, which is the national accreditation body for engineering education which received Provisional Accreditation on January 21, 2021. The department offers six years of BE degree programs in which the main subjects are Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering Management, and Transportation Engineering. The department has four main laboratories: Building Material and construction and Geotechnical laboratory, Water Resources and Environmental Laboratory, Fluid Laboratory, and Workshop. There is an E-library that provides a wide range of electronic resources including online databases such as google classroom, and e-books.
There is one library that provides full-text thesis books and journal articles, newspapers, magazines, and other books that relates to civil engineering. The department has been organizing various programs to enhance University-Industry linkage through field visits, workshops, etc. The department contributes to the interdisciplinary academic and research activity of the university.
PEO 1: Graduates will be able to apply up-to-date scientific and engineering technologies to solve the complex civil engineering problems systematically, reasonably and creatively with the help of modern design tools and research, to contribute to the advancement of civil engineering knowledge and practice.
PEO 2: Graduates will conduct and manage effectively as a leader and/or team player in diverse destination of civil engineering and in multi-disciplinary environment, by leadership, communication skill and engineering innovations.
PEO 3: Graduates will take pride in their professional lives with strong commitment to moral and ethical responsibilities in the civil engineering practices, strive the sustainable development and all round growth of society and pursue life-long learning for their professional development.
- To promote the social lives of the public through Science and Engineering Technologies
